Representation Roadmap

Premium 1:1 Guidance Toward Los Angeles Representation

Most actors don’t know where to start when it comes to representation. I didn’t either.

Through nearly two decades in the industry, I’ve learned how different types of representation actually function, when you’re ready for them, and how to structure a team intentionally instead of reactively.

  • Do you know the difference between a manager and an agent?

  • Do you know why, in most cases, management should come first?

Every contract you sign is a percentage of your income. That 10 percent matters. Your team should be built with purpose.

This is your career after all.

These are things you only really understand after being inside the system.

What we focus on

Clarifying Your Professional Positioning

1

Before anyone represents you, you need to know what you actually offer. Not what you hope to play someday, but how the industry will first see you. We define your professional screen types and make sure your materials reflect that clearly.

Strengthening Your Materials

2

Headshots. Resume. Demo reel. IMDb. Social presence. (Yes, they look.) Everything should communicate the same story. We refine what’s strong, address what’s not, and make sure your first impression is intentional.

You get one first look. Let’s make it count.

Targeting Aligned Management

3

Based on your goals and positioning, we research managers who are genuinely aligned with your type, trajectory, and market. Not a mass list. Not cold blasts. Strategic targeting built on fit.

Building a Sustainable Outreach Framework

4

Meetings are never guaranteed. Everyone’s timeline is different. What matters is having a repeatable process. We build a framework you can return to, refine, and use again until you find the right professional partnership.

  • "Colby knows his stuff. We’ve been working together for a while now and he has informed me so much about the undercurrent of the industry and how to actually make it. Craft matters more than people think, but so do your business smarts. I’m grateful for all of his wisdom.”

  • Understanding the craft is essential. Understanding the business is what sustains a career. Many actors spend years refining their artistry while overlooking how representation, branding, and positioning shape opportunity.

  • The goal of this process is not just to help you get a meeting. It’s to help you understand how the system works so you can navigate it with confidence for the rest of your career.

Representation Roadmap

The Structure

This four-session private consulting process is designed to build your foundation as a professional actor while teaching you how to navigate representation strategically.

You have to understand the system before you can move through it confidently.

Meeting 1: Foundation

We assess your materials, goals, and current positioning. Where do you actually fit in the market right now? What’s aligned? What needs tightening?

Meeting 2: Positioning

We go deeper into your current positioning and professional screen types - in the industry this is known as typecasting. Your type can evolve, but you need clarity on how to enter the conversation first.

Charlie XCX didn’t accelerate until her brand became clear. For years she experimented. When her identity locked in, everything aligned and momentum followed.

The same principle applies to actors. When your positioning is clear, your materials hit differently.

Meeting 3: Strategic Outreach

We identify aligned management and build a focused outreach approach rooted in professionalism and relationship building.

Not volume. Precision.

Meeting 4: Follow Through

Meetings are not guaranteed. Paths vary. What is guaranteed is that you’ll leave with a repeatable framework.

We follow up. We assess responses. We gather data. We refine.

Representation is not about magically being discovered. It’s about being prepared.

Through nearly twenty years in the industry, I’ve developed an organic approach to building real professional relationships. This process gives you the structure to approach representation intentionally instead of impulsively.

If you feel ready to move forward, I invite you to apply.
